We, Geely, are happy about your interest in using our products and online services. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We will strictly comply with the locally applicable laws and regulations.
In addition, we have taken corresponding security measures to ensure the safety of your personal data. This Mobile Application Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) explains how we process the data generated by your use of the Mobile Application (“Geely APP”). Please be aware, that this Privacy Notice describes the widest extent of processing possible, associated with the features of the Geely APP.
This Privacy Notice does not explain features and services of your vehicle.
For those, please refer to the Vehicle Privacy Notice and your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
Please note that any updates to this Privacy Notice will become effective as of the date of publishing the revised notice.

The entity responsible for the processing of personal data referred to below is Lotus Tech Innovation Centre GmbH, having its registered office at Magellan-Allee 4, 65479 Raunheim, Germany, company registration number HRB98296, hereinafter referred to as “Geely Cars”, “we”, or “us”. If other entities are processing personal data together with us, so called joint controllers, this will be specified.
a) When you use the Geely APP
1) Account registration and log in
When you make an account registration or log in,the following personal data will be processed:
• Email account
• Username
• Language
• VIN number
• Address
• IP
The above information is derived from your active input, and we obtain this information mainly for activating your account.
The legal basis: Performance of contract or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b))
Retention: Existence of your account.
2) Geely Automobile Remote Vehicle Services
1) When you perform remote vehicle control:
Ø Such as adjusting the windows, unlocking/locking doors/trunk, adjusting vehicle temperature (like remote seat heating setting, remote air conditioning temperature setting);
Ø Or checking vehicle status (such as environmental data (like the interior and exterior temperature of the vehicle), dashboard data (like remaining pure electric range, average power consumption, cumulative total mileage, power percentage), checking status data (like door status, door lock status, hood status, trunk status, charging status, remaining charging time, tire pressure display)).
The following personal data will be processed:
• VIN number
• Unique device identifier
• Push notification tokens
• Execute command and execution result (when you issue relevant commands through the app, that part of the information will be processed.)
The legal basis: Performance of contract or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b))
Retention: The period stipulated by law.
We also use this information to send push notifications in the Geely APP, informing you of the upcoming maintenance and service reminders for your vehicle.
In addition, we collect battery status to provide a convenient way to schedule charging. And
we collect your vehicle location information and the location of your mobile device (if you consent), so that you can use the map feature in the Geely APP and display your location relative to nearby outlets or sales stores on the map.
b) When you contact us
When you use the feedback function in the Geely APP, the following personal data will be processed:
• Personal identifiers related to the channel you are using (such as name, phone number/email address, VIN, unique device identifiers and push notification tokens)
• Any data you provide related to your inquiry
The legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a))
Retention: The period stipulated by law
c) Marketing and questionnaire surveys
When you submit a survey questionnaire or participate in marketing activities, the following personal data will be processed (this data originates from your active input):
• Name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Model
• VIN number
• User account
• Device ID
The legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a))
Retention: The period stipulated by law
The legal basis for doing this is your consent. You have the right to unsubscribe to all or part of marketing offers and/or questionnaire surveys at any time. If you withdraw your consent, your data processing will be limited to the operation of the stop list to ensure that you do not inadvertently receive marketing information.
d) Roadside Assistance Services
When you use the Roadside Assistance Services, the following personal data will be processed:
• your relevant information(including the information you need to feedback to the rescue center channel, will be provided to the specific road rescue channel you use.)
Under normal circumstances, the aforementioned personal information you provide will be handled entirely by the official rescue center you call.
If assistance from the Geely side is needed, the road rescue channel will provide the information to Geely. If the road rescue channel provides information to Geely, the following are the relevant principles Geely adheres to in handling the situation.

3) Charging Services
The entity responsible for processing personal data related to charging services is Hong Kong Flash Charging New Energy Co., Limited (HFC), with its registered address at 19H, Maxgrand Plaza, No.3 Tai Yau St, San Po Kong, Hong Kong and its business registration number is 77271842-000-11-24-1. During the use of the charging services, HFC will require users to provide the following information:
· Location information: Used to provide users with nearby charging station information, enabling users to quickly select a charging station based on your consent (users have the right to refuse to provide location information, if refused, HFC will be unable to provide the service)
· Personal UserID: Used to save user’s favorite charging stations for convenient future queries. In the above processes, HFC will store the user’s personal UserID and the user-saved stations but will not store any location relevant information. Additionally, during the user of charging services, the following data processing activities may occur:
o Inputting charging station keywords: Users can input keywords based on their needs to search for desired charging station information
o Calling vehicle TSP information: Used to send the charging station information queried by the user to the vehicle’s navigation system which requires the vehicle to have this functionality
In the above processes HFC will only save the navigation result feedback and will not store any other personal information, including the UserID. The collection of other information is solely for application system interaction and will not involve any data storage.
You should carefully read, understand and agree to the above content before using the charging map service. If you have any questions, please contact HFC.
Disclaimer: The APP only provides platform support for charging services, and all personal data processing relevant to this section is the responsibility of HFC. The APP does not participate in any data collection, storage or processing and does not assume liability for data processing activities.
We only maintain the personal data we collect for as long as it is necessary for us to provide our services, for as long as it is required to fulfil the purposes of the processing of personal data, or as required by law.
Where we process personal data for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests). We also keep a record of the fact that you have asked us not to send you direct marketing or to process your data so that we can respect your request in future.
We share data with various organizations to run our business, to maintain our relationship with you, and to provide you with products and services. We describe these situations below.
Where we refer to these organizations as our ‘suppliers”, ‘processors’ or ‘sub-processors’, each one of these organizations is limited by contract in their ability to use your personal data for any purpose other than to provide services to us or on our behalf, as instructed by us. In each case, we only share the personal data, including telematics data, we deem necessary to achieve the respective purpose. However, in certain circumstances, where your personal data is shared with a third party, that third party may act as an independent controller of your personal data. In such cases, the third party will determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data and will be responsible for ensuring that such processing complies with applicable data protection laws.
a) Other group companies within Geely vehicles and their processors and sub-processors
Personal data may also be transferred to other group companies to provide our products and services and for provision of IT systems for business support and data storage, including to LEVC Mtech Limited and Geely Auto UK Limited who may process your personal data as controllers for the purposes of conducting customer satisfaction surveys and related feedback collection activities (outside of the Geely app) in order to help improve the products and/or services provided to you. b) IT-suppliers and their sub-processors
Personal data is processed by IT-suppliers who provide general business support systems to us, such as software and data storage providers.
c) Law enforcement authorities (e.g., police, courts)
Personal data needs to be shared or may be shared with law enforcement authorities (e.g., police, courts), to comply with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in providing data, when a crime is suspected, or when it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend ourselves against legal claims. In principle, we will provide personal data only, when we are legally obliged to do so. In case a law enforcement authority may present a request for personal data information and we are not legally obliged, we will we assess necessity and proportionality of that request, and we may decide to provide all or part of the requested information.
d) Other service providers (such as mobile network operators, connectivity providers and charging operators)
We can share data from the Geely APP and subscription data to enable the services, for fault tracing and service improvement purposes.
e) Any party approved by you
For example, you may ask us to share vehicle data with a third party such as an insurance company to prepare an insurance quote for you.
f) Third party vehicle owners
For example, fleet management or vehicle rental companies might process data generated by the vehicle and your driving, including location data, for vehicles they own or manage.
g) General Distributors, Independent Retailer, repairers, workshops
In specific cases, the Geely APP communicates with other parties, e.g., when you book maintenance, and /or other vehicle-related services. Personal data processing in these cases is subject to the relationship between you and the specific party.
Your personal data will be stored and processed on servers located in the Europe;
You can rest assured that we will ensure that your personal data is properly safeguarded, and we will strictly follow the applicable legal requirements of local or other countries regarding cross-borders data transfers.
Once cross-borders data transfer occurs, we may rely on several conditions:
• Standard contractual clauses with additional technical supplements (if necessary)
• Your consent
• Necessary for the performance of a contract
• Legal obligation
• Protection of your vital interests
• A legitimate interest that is balanced against your rights and interests
You have specific legal rights relating to the personal data we process about you. The rights may differ depending on which jurisdiction you are in and the nature of the processing.
Generally, your rights concern the possibility to:
• Withdraw your consent
• Object to our processing of your data
• Ask for the data to be transferred to another entity (so-called data portability)
• Ask for the data to be corrected or restricted
• Ask for the data to be deleted (so-called right to be forgotten)
• Request access to your data (commonly known as a subject access request)
• Complain about how we handle your data (see below)
As mentioned, these rights are not absolute and in some cases data protection law limits their application. Should this be the case for a request you make to us, we will always explain why we cannot fulfil your request.

You also have a right to submit a complaint to your local data protection authority should you have concerns about how we use your personal data.
